THE JAGUAR GOD AWAKENS is my debut novel. It is the mystery/thriller/suspense/crime category winner in the 2012 Novel Rocket Launch Pad contest under the working title of JADE SKY.
It started in a jewelry store in Antigua, Guatemala when I learned the true tale of Guatemalan jade.
In THE JAGUAR GOD AWAKENS, an 89,000-word adventure/suspense novel set against the backdrop of the Central American jungles, archaeologist Meg Denton is catapulted into the darkest realms of the illegal antiquity trade when her mentor is murdered after revealing evidence of the location of a three-thousand year-old statue of a were-jaguar: the Blue Jade Jaguar. His powerful killers, driven by greed and madness, will destroy anyone, including Meg, to possess the statue.
